Geography is a science to support life and encourage lifelong improvementof life. The scope of the study enables human to obtain t he answers to the questions of surroundings that emphasize the spatial aspects and ecology of human existence. Field of geography includes the study of the earth, aspects and processes that shape it, causal and spatial relations of human with the environment, and human interaction with the place. As an integrated discipline,geography combines physical dimension and human dimensions to explore human existence and life in the place and its surroundings.
Geography subjects build and develop learners' understanding of spatial variation and community organizations, places and environments on earth. Learners are encouraged to understand the aspects and physical processes that shape the
pattern of the earth, the characteristics and spatial distribution on the surface of the earth's ecology. Besides that, learners are motivated actively and creatively to explore the culture and experience which influence people's perception of places and regions.
Knowledge, skills, and values obtained in Geography courses are expected to develop learners' ability to have a certain attitude, act, act smartly, wisely, and responsible in dealing with social, economic, and ecological problems. Hopefully, this book can be a learning medium in accordance with the demands of learning. We receive all criticisms and suggestions for the improvement of this book.
