Although Business Math requires certain core mathematical and basic algebraic skills, many Business Math textbooks avoid teaching algebra at all. The Mathematics of Money teaches the algebra needed for business situations in context and with easy-to-understand, realistic business and finance applications. While the text takes an algebraic approach to the material, it does not require existing knowledge of algebra.

A Strong Foundation, with Flexibility to Branch Out
This text is divided into two parts. Core and Applications. The core chapters present key Business Math topics while developing basic algebra skills. From this core, the application chapters branch out with the goal of applying and extending those skills to other business and finance topics.
